The Hongkong Club
Gallery

Full Interior Design services in conjunction with Architects Harry Seidler & Associates, and Claude R Engle as Lighting Consultant.

The new Harry Seidler building replaced the original 1897 renaissance-styled building in Statue Square, and provided luxurious gentleman's club facilities for mainly western expats.

Interiors were sleek and modernist, in keeping with Seidler's Bauhaus upbringing under Walter Gropius and Marcel Breuer at Harvard.

Over 25 years later the Club's interiors have gone through some minor refurbishment, but still show that good design can last the test of time.

Dubai Creek Golf Club

Full Interior Design services for this iconic golf clubhouse whose striking architecture by Godwin Austen Johnson soon made this a 'must-visit' destination for keen golfers from around the world.

Interior concepts took their lead from the sweeping architectural curves, blending contemporary design with local arabic detailing, to create a modern arabic aesthetic. All interior materials and finishes were hand-selected in Italy & UK for their quality and uniqueness.

Our aim was always to create a truly comfortable club-like atmosphere, where members would feel at home in premium surroundings. Membership soared and a waiting list created even before the club was open.

360-degree views were ensured by the architectural planning, maintaining centrally located services areas to maximise the views of the club user.

Dubai's first large aquarium feature was the talking point of the city at the time, which along with the Boardwalk outlet, soon became a popular F&B destination, and the club turnover has always surpassed that of any other operation within the Group.

Hilton Beach Club (now Jumeirah Beach Club & Spa)

Complete re-development of the old club facilities to create Dubai's first beach resort destination in conjunction with Holford Associates as the Architects.

A truly world class resort was developed to serve both club members, and Hilton Hotel guests derived from the 50 keys on site, and main hotel guests. So popular was the resort, that membership was full within months of opening, and the main Hilton Hotel suffered from cannibalisation.

Facilities blended family orientated F&B outlets and sporting/leisure activities, with MICE travel requirements, and turnover way exceeded expectations from the outset.

Inception, concept design & guestroom mock-up stages for this unique development on Sheikh Zayed Road by Hazel Wong/Norr Group as Architects, which has won countless awards for both it's architecture and hotel facilities.

Originally conceived as the foremost business hotel destination in the region, but without an operator available (the Jumeirah Group was still to be formed), we worked directly with HH Sheikh Mohammed and the Ruler's Office, to identify the market positioning and overall hotel facilities.

The result has been the flagship of the Jumeirah Group, commanding high room rates, and an enviable RevPAR - a great example of good design returning commercial success.
